Hope Love Cure

Another door opens ❤
During many nights of searching the Internet, we along with others  stumbled across the ketogenic diet, I was in doubt we'd ever need to travel this path and  had hoped by some form of a miracle Piper would find a combination of medications that would somehow keep the seizures at bay, sadly this has not been the case and as we have few remaining options the ketogenic diet has been suggested to us once again. twice in the one week as a matter of fact! Perhaps it's a sign! one can only hope! :))
The Ketogenic diet is a medically supervised diet used for children with poorly controlled seizures, it will not work for everybody and comes with its own complications, however it has been used since the 1920's and can offer a significant reduction in seizure activity if successful.
We have been placed on a waiting list for this treatment, and meet with specialist next year! :)
Another topic of discussion was that of Piper's NG tube, it was suggested it may be time to consider a peg in Pipers stomach, this will also be considered when we visit a gastroenterologist next year.
2013 holds extra high hopes for us and the most wonderful news is...we will have a consultation with Louise Rothols -Anat  Baniel Method,  practitioner for children, in  late January. We simply can not wait!
Finally we feel, we are moving forward!
Heading  in the right direction! and supported by the most amazing of people
To our medical specialist, loving family, treasured friends those who we know well and those who we've never met! Thank you for your continued support in the fight for our purple princess πŸ’œ xxxx
